hi
i'm new here, joined for the fantastic realistic skins but since youall seem like a nice group of people i figured maybe i'd post also.
i live in northern california. i'm 53, i like reading, writing, studying tarot.
my husband does custom remodels for people who have rather nice homes to begin with. he is close to finishing one that i would love to recreate in the game. the fireplace soars 30 ft up to the beamed ceiling.
amazing!
anyway, i have a shnauzer and 2 cats, one is snoozing in my lap as i type. he's 15 now and has been blind for 5 years. gets along quite well, thank you. still climbs and jumps. he doesn't fear what he can't see.
i created my first sim with the new skin and he looks great... except that i really need the happy penis because when i put the erect penis i have on him it looks so plastic. i mean really, it's like putting plastic flowers in a Ming vase.
are you reading this Exnem? i'm sure you don't want your wonderful creations despoiled in such a fashion.
happy yule everyone.

Welcome to the forum cyansilver :) I'm a couple years older than you and am a cat lover also...we're not allowed dogs or I'd have me a border collie in a heartbeat.
Well hope to hear more from you and have a very Merry Christmas :santa: and a Happy New Year :occasion9: :occasion5:

Welcome mature player.
If you have read around you will find that I am 60 my next birthday. Asked my kids for a party. I figure for 60 I should deserve one. With cake, party hats and balloons.
We are a friendly bunch here, haven't seen anyone dissing anything or anyone.. Most of us are "mature" and those younger seem to be a nice bunch of kiddoes.

I have a border collie, soon as I get my pictures back I will post one. She is as darling as she can be and cute as a button, a little black eyed button. They are very very smart doggies and great for suburban living. Maybe someday you can get you one.
They are GREAT!

Cyansilver...
Here is the picture of my puppy dog.
She is a hyper, verbal bundle of busy body...keeps us busy throwing toys, letting her chew on our hands and lick our faces.
Not a lap dog...oh no...not her.
Anyway I hope this attachment works

Awwww....how sweet :D She's beautiful!! You could probably add "ham" to her description  She appears to like having her picture taken.
Why did you name her "Screech"...is there a story behind that?

As a matter of fact Moonsong, she had the name Screech when I got her.
She was a year and a half old, and had served a year as a lab animal for our Community College Veterinarian School. They saved her from an animal shelter where she had ended up after being lost from her home. She had obviously been "feral" living off the land as best she could and she had all kind of parasites and health problems when the lab got her. A perfect candidate to learn on.
After her year as a lab rat, they had got her all healthy and put her out for adoption. They have been amazed at her adjustment to her new home with us because she was a problem for them, quite ornery, and they were very concerned whether they were going to be able to place her.
It seems she was meant to be ours, because from the first day she has been extremely eager to please, has learned very fast, and minds me very well.
"Screech" is what they named her because as a pup she tried to talk to them, and it came out as a shrill squealing. A lot of dogs around mostly adults will attempt at some time in their young days to talk "English" and imitate us (Their litter mates, den mates whatever). They soon give it up, but not until she got tagged with her name and it does suit her.
And that is her story.
:) (I love that story....)

Awww...God Bless You Nanzee *hugs* All she needed was love :love4: and not alot of poking and prodding. And yes dogs can speak "English" to a certain extent. We had a collie when I was a kid and her favorite phrases were "Wanna eat", "Want out" and my personal fave "Where were you" which we usually heard when we were'nt home when we were supposed to be.

You know some people don't know how smart dogs are. I get a chuckle when I read some scientist somewhere figured out they can understand some thing or other. As if any of us who have lived close with our dog (or cat even) don't know just how much they do understand. People don't want to accept that dogs can speak some words...my son's dog used to say "Don't want to"... and my Mom's learned to call her by saying "MaaMaa". I guess cause there were so many of us and he heard it all day long.
Screech unfortunately was still at the lab when she went through that phase and no one taught her anything much. I bet she could have said more than just barking once for yes and twice for no--as we have worked out between us.
Thanks for all the kind words. I will give her your love. :)
