View Full Version : Pets: Sims compatible?

I am in a contest on insimenator, and this round, we got group work. I offered to take pictures for our group, which means installing their sims and take group shots. Right, the problem: One of the sims crashes my game. I know for sure it is him, because when I remove him from the folder, game starts running smoothly. Also, having him in there prevents bodyshop from starting, and when I delete him, all is ok. But, for the whole group to proceed, I need this sim installed.

I asked the person to re-save the sim. They had extracted him with simpe and not re-saved him, and I know that sometimes, when you leave the sims under the name "N001_user_whatever"-simpe created sim, without making a copy of it and deleting this, bodyshop or game crashes. This seems to be what the person did, so I am hoping when they save him again, it will work-

However they just informed me that they have Pets installed, which I dont. Do you think this is the problem and he is crashing the game simply because of Pets and lacktereof on my side? Will I be able to install the sim at all?

Pets has caused a BUTT load of problems. Anything made in body shop with pets installed will require pets, so that probably is the problem. Have you tried using the clean installer to install the sim?

yes, I only install stuff with clean installer. *MAJOR SIGH*

I would ask some one eles to take photos of the sim as it sounds like you will not beable to at this time. Good luck! :)

Yes well this is rather problematic. The person with the problematic sim is the only one who has pets in our group, and he... well in the pics, he mostly uses maxis skins on sims, and there are better picture takers in general...plus he checks in the forum like once in a day so several days will be wasted before I even figure out if heŽd be willing to take them at all, before the other members say yes and so on and so on... its really a stupid situation and because he sent me the sim very late, nearly a week has already been wasted before I could install his sim and figure out it wont work.
