Duplicate Sims

I got OFB for Xmas and my Bluewater Village seems to have a lot of dulpicate Sims. One of the characters is exactly the same except for the name. But it is the ones that are identical right down to the name that get me. There are two Malcom Landgrabbe IVs and two Denise Jacquets. One day I was playing the Jacquet house and she brought a friend home from work. The friend she brought home was herself! Now isn't that ridiculous?

Hmm odd, I dont play very often so I havent noticed that too much. I know I have seen duplicate names several times but the sims have looked different.
