Oh yeah! I so went there....
I'm staying at the Sandollar Resort in Rockport, Texas for my 2007 family reunion, though if you knew some of em you would'nt want to claim em. It's an awesome place and I get to walk along the beach daily and do all the cliche tropical stuff except for para-sailing which I have no idea why even the most drunken of monkeys would want to attempt... Everday we head out to the ferry to South Padre Island and Port Aransas after going through Aransas Pass. It's pretty cool in that aspect. I get to swim for about 8 hours a day meaning that I will have a perpetual stench of chlorine in my nethers...

This is the day before we left. I'm in the center, my friend Megan is to my left and what appears to be the arm of my friend Darren resides to my right. I dont usually practice dismemberment in my own home but...

The view of Aransas Bay from the main lawn of the Sandollar. Meaning that this puddle is somewhat more sheltered from the bigger Gulf puddle.

Mine... Well my dad and a totally awesome seagull. I swear I so want one. And the little buggers chase you at the slightest scent of fish. Good thing I scrub...

Me on the dolphin cruise we took on Saturday morning. Was pretty cool. But on your way out into the bay, they take you by all the huge houses owned by the rich yuppie *******s that you really despise. I'm talking you have the freakin Gates estate thrown a few feet from water's edge... What makes me all warm and fuzzy inside though is the lovely prospect that in a few years when ocean levels rise, they'll have a nice little wading pool in their rec room. And no one's sofa will ever completley dry out... I should seek mental help immediatley, lol.

Perfect for a postcard! This majestic sea mammal next to industrialization.
Flipper! Flipper! Flipper's his name, but now he's in Starkist...

Me, my little brother and sister on Port Aransas Beach. There lies a whole story behind that Godiva t-shirt but I'm afraid you'll have to ask Lyric about that...

My siblings despise the beach and the shells and seaweed and all that natural stuff. Perhaps I should throw em in a bubble?

Now I know what youre thinking. That is a LOT of water, lol. Are we goin, a to the hooki lau?! Seriously though, you can get a lot of cool stuff at Port A. I bought a new necklace, the bra, a fishnet (the kind you catch crabs not 'crabs' with) and a tiki statue. And while getting off of the island is hellascious, it turned out to be a lot of fun.
