Is it Possible NOT to combine Households and move into the same dorm ?

Hi im new sims 2.
and i was just wondering, is it possible to make the computer control the sims we create ?

Im using The Sims 2 with the university expansion, and i want to control one or two person in a dorm and i cant seem to move in other to that dorm without not having to control them.
Only way to move them into the same dorm is the JOIN THE households.
is there any method that i make them move in to the same dorm without having to COMBINE the households ?

Hi hasula, I personally have never played dorms much. When I did people just seemed to move in as I was playing my sim. ButIll try to get a concrete solution for you asap.

Just use boolprop and make the sim unselectable.

heyy thanx guys, but how do you use the boolprop and make the sim unselectedable ? theres alot of boolprop cheats i came cross - non of which had this description....
