I need help with a few things

1. why am I unable to download from http://www.3dconsortium.com/thesims/sims2vault/characters.htm ?
is there a speshal secret password? how do I get it?

2. How do I search for a skin " like lets say I want a batman skin and I enter batman in a search I'll find the skin and not a topic about the skin

3. what programs do you use to make your own skins? how do I get them and how do they work?


4. if I make a request of a skin thats not on the site, should I post images? and if yes how?


and how can I find old topics? I don't see any old topics.

1. The old site , and its respective URL's do not work. If youve donated to the site, PM me and I can send you the old files.

Most of the content was moved here to the new site. You can find those items in the Subscriber area and also Freebies in the Community downloads area. Look for posts by Exnem and Izzmet.

2. Search here seems to work well for me. We don't have any batman skins so that may be why you arent pulling any up.

3. To make your own skins youll need- A photo editing program like Photo shop, or Paint shop pro. And you need Sims 2 Body shop. you can learn from there how to change the color and shading on skins and play around until your comfortable. There are tutorials on various sites that should help you. Ill try to find some links.

4. All requests should come with photos. It helps any prospective creators know exactly what you want. You can get a free account at www.photobucket.com where you can host photos you find and then post the image tagged url here so the photos show up.

ok just to clarify Im' notpaying for any thing Im trying to get the best skins I can for free. are there any sugestions for free skins like the ones in the link?

There are alot of good free skins around but it depends on what level of realizim you want. (Also remember you can win our sub content in contests or by uploading and stuff)

If youre looking for more realistic id say use Glance skins. They arent my favorite tho as the brows are built into the skins and the features are very specific. http://www.glancemodels.com/

well the link that drew me to the site to begin with said

so Im trying bto get that for free some place

but I also like the anime style.
this sites still harder them most to navigate with out thinking
I'll make a request thread as soon as I finds the request forum.
but is it beter to make all my requests in one thread or in many diferent long threads as I have many requests? and how can I make shore my thread is read?

Well the real skins are a subscriber gift, so you can only get those free via contests or uploading your own creations- You can see out notice about the perks system in site news.

You said the sites hard to navigate. Id love to hear your feelings on this. Maybe we can make improvements or something.

Requests should be grouped by similar items, so if you want like 5 skins- thats one thread- clothing in another, and so on. :)

I want to to see a bar have a hard time and still dont know were it, trying to find the requests forum there should be a thing that says "forums" then you mouse over it and a box drops down that says "skins requests, object resgests, game cheats, hints, hacked items, houses, chat ect" then I could make a request. if I click on "Downloads" there should be a list that orginizes things acording to gender, skin tone, age and weather they are realistic or not then when you find it there should be a thing that says "download"


also I want to learn how to make skins with a lot of things that don't exist in Sims Bopdy Shop. people do a lot of cool things and I see no easy instructions on how to figure it out. and Mod The sims 2 .com does not have evey thing and it does not make posting and looking up posts easy and it does not have easy instuctions and it does not have every skin in the world. Im going to make a request post were I assume one should go I hope it lans in the right place.


oh I found requests section...but some links to help us move from were we are to any other forum with out back clicking would help. also the forum and downlod forum links should be on every page's bar.

also how do I win contests or gifts or some thing?
