Ok I've wanted to psot about this somewhere forever but what int he hell happened to Thanksgiving. Its my absolute favorite holiday. Time to be with your family and people you love, no expectations for gifts, good food, and relaxing fun.

Halloween had not even ended and i saw ****ing CHRISTMAS stuff in the stores. My hatred for Christmas has been growing yearly. Its soooo overdone and nothing more than commercial shopping to pry people from their money because they feel obligated to buy gifts for great Aunt Betty Sue who hasnt seen you since you were 12 but you just have to buy that bitch something or shell be offendeddddddddd.

Because Thanksgiving has no "marketability" other than a few little deocrations its like its being completely wiped off the damn map. Is this seriously how humanity is? Only holidays where something can be gained (candy = Halloween, preents= christmas, gifts= valentines) those are the only ones that matter?
I HATE Christmas now. Am I the only one?

I understand where you're coming from chickie. In my area I've seen Christmas stuff right alongside the back to school stuff, which comes out in July. And even though retailers cram Christmas down your throat, I still love it though, but that's just because I like giving presents.

I think Thanksgiving is still marketable, only it's by a different group of retailers. Thanksgiving is the best holiday for grocery stores simply because it's touted as primarily a food holiday.

The only way retailers benefit at all from Thanksgiving is the Black Friday specials. It's really disappointing the way they exploit things like this, but we can't really DO anything about it. :(
