Sims cant eat food

Well the problem that I have is about the Burger World set (1). When my sims trys to grab a plate, they just bounce back alittle but can't eat it. They can clean it up but not eat it. I read the whole post to see if it needed a expansion but no. I only have the sims 2 and I don't know whats wrong, please help me.

that happened to me as well with those meat and cheese trays they described it as ghost files. what they said that u can do is this "If you want to fix them yourself and know how to use simpe, then open the file, go to the Pie Menu Functions and delete the entries on the left except for grab plate. That should do the trick. Don't forget to backup your file before editing in case you screw something up."

I believe you also need University and OFB installed for those to work.

I also have this problem and i have all ep's and 1 sp(teenstyle).
Is there a solution? I cant work with simpe, have tried but didnt work.
Thank God i had backup!
