Ever wanted to make some contact lenses for your sims but lack the SimPe ability to do it from scratch? This tutorial will show you how to make contacts in no time.
**NOTE: This method requires cloning of already existing contact masks. Please be advised if you wish to share your masks you need to take into consideration the terms of use on the masks you cloned, as well as letting your downloaders know which set you used. Your masks will override the original ones so they can not have both sets at once. If you are using these for personal use be sure to download a contact set you do NOT want to use in your game**
---------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1:
Open body shop and select "Create Parts" then "Start New Project"

Step 2: You first need to find the correct eyes that you wish to use to make your eye mask.
So go to "Genetics" and then Eyes to select your eyes. Hit the folder with the arrow button to EXPORT them.

Step 3: You will be asked to name this file. Since we are simply "borrowing" these eyes name it something simple like "Borrowtheseeyes"
http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h178/LyricLeeSV/ContactTute/5.jpg
Step 4: On the next page you need to hit the X button. This will save your textures in a folder but not import them into the game.

Step 5: Back at the Main Page again...Select "Start New Project" again..... Then "Make up, Glasses etc"
http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h178/LyricLeeSV/ContactTute/8.jpg
Now find the contact mask you downloaded that you wish to overwrite.

Step 6: Go through the process again (steps 1-3). Export the texture but this time name it as you wish your final project to be named. For this tutorial I've named mine
"LyricContactMask"

Step 7: NOW..... Open up your respective art program. I use a different program than everyone else but the process is simple.
First open the file located in the project folder for your GOOD contact mask.
My Documents/Ea Games/Sims 2/Projects/LyricContactMask
From this folder you want the image thats in color.

Step 8: Secondly open up the file for the eyes you want on your mask from the eyes you exported.
Your goal here is to take the eyes you want, and layer them ontop of the original texture of the contacts you do not want.
In most programs you can open a second image as a new layer ontop of the first.

Step 9: Once your new eyes are laying ontop of the original contact texture you need to select SAVE (NOT SAVE AS) and let it override the original.
Step 10: Now Back in bodyshop, you will need to hit the refresh arrow.

Step 11: You will now see the eyes you want, on the contact mask. Simply hit the IMPORT button and you are done.

As stated before, If you do intend to share just notify the people who download that it will override another download.
You can use this tutorial to make side glancing eyes and low glancing eyes by changing the position of the iris on the texture.
Hope this helps some of ya.
